Role & Team

We’re currently seeking a brilliant Indirect Procurement Manager (f/m/x) who, reporting to the Procurement & Facility Director of the Group, will oversee our procurement activities related to indirect categories for our BU in Italy - with potential exposure to other European markets as well 😊. The successful candidate will manage, develop and implement procurement-related business strategies & tactics, to deliver value along the dimensions of cost, quality, delivery/service, risk management, and compliance.

This position will also partner with internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment and achievement of business objectives and, will be managing a team of one Buyer and two Back-Office Specialists.


Specifically, your main responsibilities will be

  • Ensuring procurement expertise to internal stakeholders.
  • Planning and executing strategic and tactical sourcing plans, in alignment with the Procurement & Facility Director and with the Business needs.
  • Identifying, designing, and implementing continuous improvement activities, aiming to optimize costs, while guaranteeing a higher quality of service.
  • Analyzing the spending and identifying priorities, in accordance with business constraints.;
  • Driving improvement initiatives in Quality, Reporting, Cost Reduction, Procedures, etc.
  • Developing RFQ, SLA & specific service requirement documents for strategic projects and in coordination with stakeholders.
  • Negotiating with suppliers to find the best quality services, at the best possible price.
  • Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with internal stakeholders, cross-functional colleagues, and suppliers.
  • Supporting troubleshooting problems and resolving issues with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Engaging with internal customers, communicating successfully in 1:1 or in groups, in order to gain influence, and ensure customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
  • Leading the Procurement team, while helping them grow within the organization and gradually assuming more responsibilities.


Job requirements


What you'll need to be successful in this role

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, or in any other business-related field.
  • You have an operational and very hands-on mindset.
  • You have 5 to 7 years max of experience in Procurement and specifically across all the following categories: Facility, Cleaning, Construction, FF&E, Utilities, Telecom, IT & ICT, Consulting, HR, and Legal.
  • You are fluent in English (C1) and Italian (C1);
  • You have a proven experience in category management, negotiation of business terms, and finalization of contracts.
  • You have excellent project and program management skills.
  • You are a natural and effective communicator - across all levels of management.
  • You are a doer, problem solver, and data-driven.
  • Your leadership style is assertive and empathetic; therefore you stand for your listening & influencing skills;
  • You have a structured and pragmatic approach and you're not afraid of changing roads or
  • You are self-motivated with great follow-up skills.
  • You are a self-starter, energetic, and willing to leave a legacy.
  • You are able to cope with a diverse environment (different cultures; levels of capabilities, etc.) and challenges.
  • You are open to travel in Italy and in Europe.
